Grocery Slips. If you support the Centre by turning in your grocery receipts, thank you. If you turn in your IGA grocery receipts, we have a request from Evelyn, our volunteer who totals our receipts for our much appreciated credits; "Please do NOT tear off the date at the bottom of the slips - your receipt slip cannot be used if this is missing." Thank you.

The Lions Club and various pharmacies are cooperating to fund the Vial of Life program on the Sunshine Coast. This consists of a form listing your BC Medical Plan number, your doctor's name, any medications you are taking, allergies and your medical/surgical history. The completed form is placed in a plastic container and taped inside your refrigerator door. There is also a small magnetic sticker to be placed on the outside of the refrigerator door so that anybody called to assist in case of an emergency will know that you are part of the program. If the First Responders have ready access to this information it reduces the amount of time needed to assist in case of an emergency. This program has been started on the Coast at the initiative of one individual. The Power of One can never be underestimated. These forms and containers are now available at the Centre's reception desk.
