Hours - Winter: 9 AM to 3 PM Summer: 10 AM to 2 PM
NEW easy & fun 1-hr "taster" computer classes teaching basic computer skills. Students from beginners to advanced are welcome.
Students have been delighted with the easy to understand topics relevant to their everyday lives, "This is so great - I've been struggling to do that for some time".
Topics include: Windows 7; PC Safety; Photo Editing, Retouching, Fusing and Sharing Photos Via the Internet & Email all using Windows Live Photo Gallery & How to Use Skype to make free calls & video chats.
Students are welcome to bring their own laptops, but you must first install the relevant software before attending the course. Training classes are open to all members from computer novices to more advanced users. For a minimal fee of $5.00 per hour course you will enjoy these simple to understand mini-courses.
Check the centre's bulletin board by the coffee maker for course sign-up sheets for dates and times and to register while there are still spaces available!
You can also sign-up for Thursday's drop-in computer sessions that run from 10-11 am to practice any of the skills learned in courses or to ask any computer questions you have.
Computer Drop-in, every Thursday from 10-11 am, Computer Room, $2, preregister on the sign-up sheet by coffee maker. You can come in and ask questions about anything related to computers and practice skills learned in the Tuesday classes. You can bring your laptop or use the centre's computers which all have webcams available for your use.
