Sechelt Seniors Activity Centre
Computer Activities and Training
Our computer facilities available to SSAC members have recently been updated.
There are four fully functional computer work stations; 3 with windows XP and 1 with Windows 7 and a printer.   Also we have installed new keyboard extension trays at each station to enable a more user friendly use of the keyboards and to relieve both eye and wrist strain for users.

To assist those members who wish to bring their own Laptop computers to a training session we have also enabled a wireless internet connection. This feature will also allow those who may rent the Center's facilities to be able to access the internet from any location at the Center. The wireless connection is available by logging on to the 'guest' account which requires  no password

Training is available for members on Thursday from 10am to 11am and is provided by Phil Green. In order to accommodate members wishing to participate in our training program you will need to 'sign up' for the day of your choice on the sheets provided on the cork notice board next to the coffee machine in the Lobby. There is a $2.00 fee which will be collected at the start of the session after registration.
Classes will cover the Basics of computer skills including the following:

These are just a few items of interest and there are many other basic issues too numerous to list. If you have a particular issue that you want us to cover please let us know.

In addition, for those members wishing to access their personal e-mail account or to surf the web, time is available on Wednesday from 10am to 3pm
each week. (Unsupervised). You will need to register at the front desk at which time your $2.00 fee will be collected and the password will be provided to you .

We look forward to seeing you at one of the training sessions and offer  some help to you on your computer skills-- remember no issue is too small to deal with.
